Anglo American Enhances Trading Relationships with Quadrem

In today’s global economy, buyers and suppliers must work more closely together than ever to ensure their mutual success. Recognizing this, Anglo American, one of the world’s largest mining companies, has teamed up with Quadrem International, Ltd, a company of Ariba, Inc. to provide key trading partners with access to innovative technology and services they can leverage to enhance and expand their businesses.

Realizing that more than half of its South African trading partners lacked Internet access, Anglo American established two electronic Enterprise Development hubs where suppliers can go to connect to the network and respond to RFQs. And the company plans to support the implementation of several more.

In a recent Anglo Platinum Supplier Day, two African suppliers gave interviews to provide more information and insight into this unique initiative and business processes.

Listen to the interviews here and here.

By employing both SourceCentre and SupplyCentre, African customers were able to access market-leading technology and electronically connect and manage procurement activities more efficiently and effectively than ever before.
